Pots and pan s
Donot put potsonthe cookingsurfaceunlesstheirbot-
toms areclean anddry. Avoidheating upof emptyves-
sels.
Do always cook with the potlid closed.
Pots and pansbottoms might have burrs or edgesthat
scratch and scour the ceramic surface, when the ves-
sels are moved around.
This isaswellguilty forpots andpansmadeof castiron
and for enamelware vessels that have an electro--gra-
phitized bottom.
Scratches may also appear, if e.g. grains of sand (left
from the preceding cleaning of vegetable) get on the
cooking surface, when the pot is moved around on it.
Dishes with aluminium and copper bottoms may leave
metallic discolouration on the ceramic glass surface
which is only hard to remove or even not at all.
